Dear Colleagues,
on 17 and 18 October 2014, we are organizing a pan-European Amateur Radio Event with the support of the European Parliament, titled as "Europe in the Ionosphere"with the following scenarios:
Each primary member of the European Union and in selected locations (preferably famous / well known areas), will have to settle for 48 hours wireless HF in a special lightweight construction which will be shipped from Greece for free.
This special structure has been designed by students and professors of the School of Architecture National Technical University of Athens especially for this event.
During the event, which will run for 48 hours, it will provide the opportunity to students and ordinary citizens from all countries of the European Union to speak with other similar groups in other countries exchanging opinions or to send a simple greeting.
In this mail you announce that we are lookinng for the team leader of the group of your city.
With this letter we want to make known to you the following:
It would be very much appreciated to do the following five (5) steps to ensure the success of the event.
1. a distinctive callsign of your country with suffix such as EU.
2. to select and organize the group will staff the transmission point of your city.
3. letters to invite students from your universities in order to have a live chat with their respective teams from all over Europe.
4. To announce and to invite as many members of the European Parliament from your country to findthe point of emission and talk with people from other European countries.
5. promote the event to give awareness as fast as you can throughout Europe.
Finally please announce that this pan-European event is done for the first time at the initiative of the Greek Amateur Radio Group: Dx Plus. Hellenic Radio Amateur Team.
