DARC RTTY Short Contests 2024

After the first year with a complete series of four RTTY short contests in 2024, we are proud to look back on a competition with 166 participants from all over europe. Congratulations to the winners DF2SD (OP at DQ9Y) Low-Power-DL and Marco Holleyn, DJ4MH, the 2024 winner QRP-DL.

We are more than happy, that we had nearly 40 participants from other european countries. Not that many in QRP (it is not easy to break the DL-traffic with 5 Watts, when you are from northern Finland or southern Italy :-), but great activity in Low-Power. After the fourth place in 2023, this year ON6MX, Martin De Craemer, beat the rest of the “Non-DLs” in Low-Power and Steve Connor, M7WLT, was the number one in QRP-Non-DL.

No changes of the rules for 2025. We only clarified the classes to point out, that operating 2-Radio is allowed in all classes.

So far we see, that the DARC RTTY Short Contest is set up in WinTest, N1MM, DX-Log and UCX-Log. Nevertheless, we see many users of fldigi in company with ADIF2CABRILLO and others.

And last but not least, also in 2024 we will honor all winners (DL and Non-DL) with metallized plaques which we will (hopefully) send out before christmas this year.

Let me send season greetings to all RTTY-fans and I hope to cuagn 14th of January 2025 in the first DARC RTTY Short Contest.
