Sporadic operating due to other commitments. Lots of fun though. SD was great help in logging. May have miscopied 0E9Y/p Serial, as couldn't read own writing I jotted down on paper. Others should be OK.
DF0NO/p:
Der FD hat einen Riesenspaß gemacht, alles hat ohne Probleme funktioniert, das Wetter war super und wir hatten ein tolles Team! Und mit dem Ergebnis sind wir für "fast QRP" (max. 15W) voll zufrieden.
DF0VK/p:
Viele tatkräftige Hände unterstützen den Aufbau, so dass diesmal die Hektik vor dem Start aus blieb. Die condx waren allerdings wie erwartet schlecht und die QSO-Rate mühte sich dahin und die Vorjahresergebnisse konnten nicht verbessert werden. Waren diesmal weniger FD- Stationen qrv? Wir hoffen auf bessere condx, rege Teilnahme und awdh im nächsten Jahr!
DG5MKU:
Hab am FD Wochenende paar Punkte verteilt und eben schnell mal die paar Verbindungen in UcxLog reingehackt. Hoffe Log und die Abrechnung ist soweit ok, hi. Viele Grüße Michael

Einige Contest-Neulinge konnten Ihre ersten Erfahrungen machen. Hat rundum alles funktioniert. Es hat viel Spaß gemacht. Bis nächstes Jahr.

Soapbox Very tough contest!! The pole had to be erected three times, we lost one of our top-OPs; we started into the contest about 10 minutes late. During the first two hours we had the feeling that something was grossly wrong with our technical setup. However, when we noticed that even big old DL0LA/p had only twice as many QSOs as we had, we started to feel a bit more comfortable. Sunday was actually quite ok, leave alone the half dozen or so rare multipliers, who flatly refused to official acknowledge a qso since they maintained they were engaged in the AA-contest.
DK2A/p:
Weiterer Versuch in der EK Klasse. Bedingungen waren nichts besonderes, ein wenig besser wie letztes Jahr. Mehr QSO durch Wegfall der 10min Regelung. Am besten war: Es hat NICHT geregnet!

Das Wetter war durchwachsen, bis stürmisch. Durch Aggregatausfall 7 Stunden Zeit verloren. Dafür haben wir uns trotzdem gut geschlagen. Es ist sehr ungünstig, wenn der AA-Contest auf das gleiche Wochenende fällt wie der SSB-FD.

Condx eher mäßig dieses Jahr, dafür aber tolles Wetter, Lagerfeuer, Sternenhimmel und warme Winde aus Südwesten.

First FD after a break of 4 or 5 years with new ideas and lots of men power. Very small station setup, same location, new shack, fantastic catering and personal service by non-OPs, Murphy´s visit with broken
power generator and spare one producing HF noise on the bands, new experiences about antennas and tuners, etc. etc. etc. ! Rain like always, but that belongs to a fieldday ! Just one thing: WHERE HAVE BEEN THE HIGH BANDS ???
G3RCM/p:
We got extremely wet on Saturday morning while erecting the station. Equipment included an 80 foot tower with a 3 element tribander for 20m, 15m and 10m and inverted Vs for 80m and 40m. Howling winds and heavy rain meant we had to continually check the guy wires. We only used one radio, an FT1k MkV with a quadra amplifier - no second receiver. We operated from a playing field at Meadowhead to the south of Sheffield. Security was a worry as the field is used as a short-cut by many of the locals.
Conditions on the higher bands were disappointing with even 20m being hard work especially on Saturday morning. On Sunday we had some sunshine and were very grateful that it had stopped raining when we came to dismantle everything. Thanks to all those who we worked.

Terrible conditions, almost no DX worked and we went to 80m ridiculously early, at 5.30pm! Used a great new site next to a pub and gave several club members the chance to operate, including two of our recent Foundation licensees M3NHI and M3WTZ.

Kein DX-Cluster - Konnte wieder nicht /p arbeiten, Samstag Garten, Sonntag singen mit Kirchenchor und Nachmittag Familie. Auch einige QSO's im 2-m-Test (am Samstag), auch mit FT817!
PI4HGV/p:
Hope to improve my numbers of qsos next year. A lot of stations are QRV but I spent to much on the BBQ and the beerbottle. (HI) Have fun with the conto+ of the incoming logs. By the way......SD is lovely contest program I use this program since 1990.

Bemerkungen des Auswerters
In diesem Jahr haben mich 178 Log erreicht, davon kamen 136 von echten portabel Stationen.
Es waren mehr Stationen angemeldet davon haben einige abgesagt, andere nahmen trotz Anmeldung nicht am Fieldday teil. Das kann immer passieren, jedoch sollte man sich dann nach Ausschreibung abmelden. Darunter verstehe ich nicht eine email am Samstagmorgen zu schreiben und zu hoffen, der FD-Auswerter hockt schon vor seinem Computer und wartet auf emails. Das macht er nicht, sondern der Auswerter macht auch Fieldday. Ein Anruf und auf einem Anrufbeantworter erhält man alle nötigen Informationen, Bei dieser Abmeldung sollte man nicht nur an den FD-Auswerter denken, sondern auch an einen eventuellen FD-Kontrolleur, der sein Benzin umsonst vergeudet.
Wenn einige "Nicht-Abgemeldeten" angesprochen werden und auf dann dem FD-Auswerter Arrroganz vorwerfen und diese email als Kopie an den DV schicken, kann ich nur mit dem Kopf schütteln.
In gewohnter Weise wurden diese 57.917 QSOs elektronisch verarbeitet, wobei 16.781 QSOs also 29.0 % in den eingesandten Logs direkt überprüfbar waren.
Vielen Dank an Holger, DL5KUT, der mich dieses Jahr intensiv beim Logchecken unterstützt hat.
Logs wurden wie gewohnt zwischen DL, G, HB9, RA, I, ON ausgetauscht.
Im Gegensatz zum CW Teil wurden keine Rekord QSO-Zahlen erzielt. Die Bedingungen waren der geringen Sonnenaktivität angepasst.
Zum ersten Mal konnte der Bereich 7100 - 7200 kHz auch zum Contesten benutzt werden, dort hin haben sich allerdings wenige Stationen verirrt bzw. vielleicht waren die Stationen noch nicht umgerüstet. Unsere Hoffnung, das 160m auch wieder für den SSB-Fieldday zu benutzen, müssen wir wohl auf Jahre zurückstellen, da die Bundesnetzagentur den Contestbereich auf 160m weiterhin eingeschränkt hat.
Zwei exotische Rufzeichen hat uns der Fieldday beschert: TF/DL2RMC/p, V55O/p. Interessante Multiplikatoren, aber eine Quelle für Unique-Callls (Rufzeichen, die nur in einem Log auftauchen).
Gewisse Unique-Calls in den FD-Logs machen mir Kopfschmerzen. Es sind die Gefälligkeits-Qsos (Bierzelt-QSOs) - hoffentlich waren es wirklich QSOs - mit Stationen aus dem eigenen OV oder aus dem Bekanntenkreis. Manchmal taucht das gleiche Rufzeichen fünf Mal im Log auf und das innerhalb von 3 Minuten. Bitte überzeugt diese Stationen auch mit anderen FD-Stationen QSOs zu fahren.
